Otinova is a fast-acting ear spray designed to relieve the symptoms of ear canal inflammation, including itching, irritation and discomfort. Applied directly into the ear canal, it works locally with a drying (astringent) effect to reduce excess moisture and help restore a healthy ear environment. Its formulation is scientifically documented to provide antibacterial and antifungal activity, making it suitable for managing inflammation associated with moisture, bacteria or fungi.

Directions for Use

Before first use, pump the spray until a fine mist appears. Gently insert the nozzle into the ear canal and spray once or twice, morning and evening. After application, tilt the head for one to two minutes to allow the solution to flow into the ear canal, then wipe away any excess liquid. Relief is often felt within a few days.

Indications, Safety & Side Effects

Otinova is intended for the treatment of ear canal inflammation, including otitis externa, ear canal irritation associated with moisture exposure, ear canal eczema and fungal infections of the ear canal (otomycosis). It should not be used continuously for more than 7 days, or if the eardrum is perforated or ventilation tubes (‘grommets’) are in place. Children under 5 years of age should only use under medical supervision, and medical advice should be sought if symptoms do not improve after 7 days.

A temporary stinging sensation or mild local irritation may occur. Prolonged or excessive use may lead to local dehydration or salt precipitation in the ear canal. Do not use if you are allergic to aluminium acetate; a patch test is recommended before use.
