The IR-55D is an ultra-miniature digital inductive covert earpiece with a push button controlled hard squelch, designed to fit in either ear canal.

The digital range of inductive earpieces utilise sophisticated micro DSP digital electronics, incorporating a hard squelch algorithm to help reduce unwanted interference noise in the absence of an input signal.

The IR-55D uses a 10A zinc air battery. The battery tray functions as an on/off switch to increase the battery life. The device features a low battery alert, and will beep 3 times when the battery needs replacing. It features a generic fit, designed to fit comfortably either left or right ear over long durations. It also features a push-button which toggles the squelch on and off. This ensures clear and precise communication, even in the most critical of situations and environments.
